Significant Infrastructure Improvements on the Horizon
Lake City, FL – Lake City continues to invest in critical infrastructure with the Council’s approval of multiple agreements that will enhance services and facilities throughout the community.
The Council approved an important agreement with Columbia County to provide potable water service to the Mega Industrial Park, a move that will support job creation and economic development in the region. This collaboration between the city and the county demonstrates the cooperative spirit that drives progress in Columbia County.
In another positive development, the city accepted grant funding for the Steadily Field conversion project, showing Lake City’s success in securing outside funding to improve recreational facilities without burdening local taxpayers.
The Council also renewed the Air Methods lease at the airport, ensuring continued emergency medical aviation services for the community and surrounding areas – a vital lifeline for residents in medical emergencies.
